As digitalization progresses, terms such as “metaverse“,“virtual reality” and “augmented reality” are being used more and more frequently, “New Internet” or “parallel worlds”. Opinions on these developments are controversial! But one thing is indisputable: these new technologies are currently on everyone’s lips! We have also become curious and would like to take a closer look at these trends at our next Leadership Lounge.
What exactly is the metaverse? How did it come about? What possibilities does the metaverse offer us – privately and at work? How is it perhaps already being used and how could it be used in the future? What is the best way to approach this highly complex topic approach? You can find out this and much more at our next Lounge!

Unfortunately we can only offer a limited number number of participants for the VR sessions, so be quick and secure your place: Be quick and secure your place! Simply select the appropriate option when you register.
To ensure that each participant has enough time, we have divided the VR experiences into two time blocks planned. One starts at 5 pm and the second around 20:30. If you are attending the session at 5 p.m., you will have to come to the SEMINARIS CampusHotel Berlin a little earlier. But it’s definitely worth it, isn’t it?

Prof. Dr. Philipp Rauschnabel – Professor of Digital Marketing and Media Innovation at the University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich and one of the TOP 5 researchers for augmented reality worldwide gives us an overview of the current state of research, the latest applications and an outlook on what is yet to come.
Impulses from metaverse practice by Dr. Sebastian Klöß, Bitkom e.V.
Dr. Sebastian Klöß – Head of Consumer Technology, AR/VR & Metaverse at Bitkom e.V. – introduces the connection between metaverse and blockchain and shares with us his assessment of the next steps companies should take today.

Since the exchange is much more intense and lively when the guests are on site in person and the virtual reality experience is only possible at the venue we have decided against a hybrid event this time. So, depending on whether you want to do a VR experience, the evening will cost you the following…
Ticket Present: 40 Euro incl. delicious food and drinks and VAT.
If you decide to take your chance and start a VR experience, we charge an additional 25 euros for our expert and the equipment.
Ticket present + VR session: 65 Euro incl. delicious food and drinks and VAT.
What is behind the Leadership Lounge concept?
In 2009, in cooperation with the SEMINARIS Hotels, we launched the “Leadership Lounge – science meets economy” was founded. Since then, we have been inviting managers, human resources and academics to our networking event in Dahlem three times a year. After work, an exciting evening event awaits you there with presentations on current topics in times of digitalization, globalization and Industry 4.0 as well as on our working world of the future.
