Agile exchange of experience “Values in agile organizations”

Agile exchange of experience “Values in agile organizations”

Attitude and the associated values are the key drivers in an agile organization. It seems easy to name helpful values. However, question marks arise over people’s heads when it comes to making values tangible, visible and liveable in the organization.

We want to tackle this challenge in our next “Community of Practice” session in the NEW SPACES of the IOM (Institute for Organization & Management at Steinbeis University Berlin).

We dedicate a day to the topic of “Values in agile organizations – the Spiral Dynamics model according to Clare Graves in practice” and free our minds: We use an innovative “agile game” called “Value Party” on the basis of which we create a value profile of the group. We work out the central values that are anchored in the group and at the same time map how the group perceives its environment with regard to these values and also which values the group believes are best suited to shaping the future. A guided exercise in small groups makes the topics “tangible” in a short space of time.

We then consider how we want to continue to work with these values, how the value profile gives us indications of needs and approaches and how we can – in the tradition of Kaizen – install improvements.

The sessions will be led by Susanne Grätsch from berliner team and Nadine Kretschmar from WBS Training.

In between, at lunch and afterwards, there will, as always, be plenty of time to exchange ideas and network.

The “Community of Practice – Agile Organizations” will take place as part of the gfo – Gesellschaft für Organisation with the kind support of Prof. Dr. Andreas Aulinger from the IOM (Institute for Organization & Management at Steinbeis University Berlin).
