If you make an incorrect assessment, for example by judging a complex situation as simple, you will respond with a simple method, solution or decision that is usually neither appropriate nor sufficient.
And how? The first step is to define what a complex situation is and how it differs from other constellations.
The Cynefin Framework according to Snowden and Boone can be helpful here.
Only once the situation has been correctly identified can suitable methods and proposed solutions be developed and decisions made.
You must bear in mind that your experience, knowledge and skills will be taken into account when assessing the situation. This means that the situation is not the same for everyone.
